We visited the Cristo Redentor statue at Corcovado Mtn. in Rio. It's the highest point in the city so you have a 360 degree view of everything including Sugar Loaf, Maracana stadium, and the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Botafogo. The statue was huge and is made of soapstone.

Sugar Loaf

Great view of Rio. You can see Copacabana on the left and downtown Rio on the right. The Cristo Redentor stature is barely visible on the far right.

We went to the Sugar Loaf Mtn. (Pao de Acucar) in Rio. Here we are in an original tram car that has since been replaced by more modern trams.

Paraty

Here we are in Paraty. We went snorkeling and had a good time.
